Method 1: The Paper/String Test
-
Wrap: Cut a thin strip of paper or a piece of non-stretchy string. Wrap it snugly around the base of the finger you intend to wear the ring on.
-
Mark: Use a pen to mark the exact point where the end meets the rest of the strip.
-
Measure: Lay the paper/string flat against a ruler and measure the distance in millimeters (mm). This is your inner circumference.
-
Check the Chart: Match that measurement to the Circumference column in our size chart below.
Tip: Don’t pull the string too tight. It needs to be able to slide over your knuckle.
Method 2: Measure an Existing Ring
-
Select a Ring: Find a ring that fits the correct finger on the correct hand (your dominant hand is usually slightly larger).
-
Measure Diameter: Use a ruler to measure the inside diameter of the ring in millimeters. Do not include the thickness of the metal band.
-
Check the Chart: Match your millimeter measurement to our Inner Diameter column.
Tips for Accuracy
-
The Afternoon Rule: Fingers change size throughout the day. For the most accurate result, measure your finger at the end of the day when it is at its largest.
-
Temperature Matters: Cold weather can shrink your fingers by up to half a size. Ensure your hands are at room temperature before measuring.
-
Consider Band Width: If you are purchasing a wide band (6mm or wider), we recommend choosing one half-size larger than your normal size for a comfortable fit.
-
The Knuckle Factor: If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, measure both and choose a size in between the two.
